I have loaded mahara pretty much successfully. I'm using it to develop student electronic portfolios but the total upload limit is 10 mb. How do I increase this?

The default file quota for new users is hidden away in the admin section here:

admin/extensions/pluginconfig.php?plugintype=artefact&pluginname=file&type=file

For existing users, I don't think we provide a method to mass-update quotas yet, so the only options are either update each user separately (by clicking on users from Admin -> Manage Users -> User Search), or else to go into the database directly and update the "quota" column on the "usr" table.

Not ideal

Thanks Richard,

Kind of a novice at this. Let me see if I have this straight. I have to ftp  through linux and open this folder:

 admin/extensions/pluginconfig.php?plugintype=artefact&pluginname=file&type=file.

Do I have to edit this line at all? If so, what do I have to write on it?

Thank you,

ricardo

No, I meant that as a url to browse to from your wwwroot.

You just have to browse to the admin section and go to Administer Extensions -> Plugin Administration, and then click on the "Config" beside the "File" artefact plugin and that's the same page.

There is a setting there for the default user file quota.
