Hello, and welcome to my Mahara ePortfolio!
My name is Michaela Galvin. I am currently in my 5th year of classroom teaching, spending 3 years teaching 3rd grade and 2 years teaching 2nd! After Graduating from PSU with a B.S Degree in Childhood Studies, Elementary Education with a Teacher Certification, grades K-8, I am now working towards a Masters in Language & Linguistics, TESOL Certification K-12.
In addition to teaching, I am extremely passionate about physical health and fitness, which I am always working to incorporate into the classroom environment. I was a member of the PSU Women's Basketball team for 4 years- an experience that has shaped me as a person and a teacher, and that I believe will leave a positive impression on my character and demeanor for the rest of my life! I hope this ePortfolio gives you a meaningful look into my experience as a teacher and coach, as well as my beliefs on education, success, and happiness!
