I am an honest and reliable young woman who has a desire to help and care for others. I am a friendly person who generally gets along well with others.

Growing up as the oldest of three children in a single parent household, I developed a strong work ethic and took on great responsibility at a young age. This responsibility of caring for my younger siblings influenced my decision to pursue a career as a nurse.  

Over the past three years I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of nursing envirnoments including orthopaedics, inpatient mental health, an accident and medical clinic, and I am currently completing my final clincal placement in a general surgical ward in Middlemore Hospital.

Currently, I am looking to re-enter the workforce in Perth after living abroad for two years in South Korea where my husband worked in the oil and gas industry.

I have experience in both the Education and Public Health sectors. In April 2009 I commenced lecturing in Biomedical Science at Polytechnic West, Western Australia after starting a Graduate Diploma in Secondary Education at the University of Western Australia.  I also took on a part-time position as a Policy Officer at the Department of Health in April 2011 - September 2011 before relocating to South Korea for family commitments.

Whilst overseas I  undertook home schooling of my two youngest children from October 2011 - April 2012 in Pre-primary - Year 1 and Year 6-7 in the School of Isolated and Distance Education (SIDE) Program, while awaiting for availability of a placement for them at Okpo International School. In July - December 2013 I re-commenced Year 2 home schooling of my youngest child in preparation for relocation to Perth in December 2013.

Prior to my entry into the Education sector I worked for a 15 year period in both the medical diagnostic and research industries.
