Hello

I have just successfully installed mahara on ubuntu.  I now need to configure LDAP authentication.  Can anyone advise on the process for confuguring ldap authentication on the mahara installation.

I am attempting to add an institution and when I get to the authentication plugin section with the drop down list I get the following;

LDAP - please install the PHP LDAP extension

Can anyone advise on how I install the PHP LDAP extension.

thanks

Derrick

You just need to install the LDAP module for PHP. Depends on your OS... if you are on Linux then:

sudo apt-get install php7.0-ldap

Also configured the LDAP settings in mahara AND

All set up and successfully logging in through LDAP.

thank you for all your help.

Great that you are all set up, Derrick.

If you want to read up on the LDAP authentiation settings themselves, they are documented in the user manual at http://manual.mahara.org/en/17.10/administration/institutions.html#ldap-authentication (17.10 user manual).

Cheers

Kristina
