Hi there,

Not sure where it would be most appropriate to share this but I had an idea this morning that I think would make a cool feature on mahara.  Don't know if you have been to the British Museum website and seen the digitized books that use the 'turning the pages' technology, (http://www.bl.uk/onlinegallery/ttp/ttpbooks.html) but I thought it would be great if the view feature in mahara could somehow incorporate this so that you could have a view with multiple pages that could be turned.

This is not a feature request but just an idea that someone out there may want to take up.  I have no technical know-how, I am just an end user, so I have no idea how realistic this really is.

I saw it. It's similar to FlashPageFlip. Maybe we could use Free version (for noncommercial stuff, ...)

Hello,

As Florentino has pointed out,  we have also started to use Issuu.comn so that lecturers can start publishing online documents in our Moodle VLE, and it is working quite well. 

Since Mahara seems to be the natural eportfolio platform for Moodle users, it makes sense to try to develop some sort or artefact-widget for Issu.

Well the demos seem quite cool - it would be interesting if people could make views that worked like that!

Maybe worth filing a feature request for it?

issuu is cool. I just finished the downloads http://issuu.com/h1moodle/docs/h1_intel_symposium09_dillingen to give it a try.

My moodle site accepts the embedded code snippet.

We need a guy to write an HTML_Purifier plugin for issuu to use it in Mahara? Who starts?

I know this is an old thread - but has anyone got round to doing this? I know our journalism students are very keen to embed their issuu pages into their eportfolios
