Hi,

I have downloaded and installed Mahara 1.14  on a local Ubuntu Jaunty Jalope Server. The installation went fine.

I am able to access the website on my local network and it works fine.

I have configured dynamic dns service to provide access to this server to my friends. The url is http://mahara.dns04.com.

When they try to access the website, they get a text only display and are unable to login.

I have changed the value of wwwroot in config to http://mahara.dns04.com which was earlier pointing to http://192.168.10.101 (which is my local address).

What am I doing wrong. All help will be appreciated.

 Thanks and regards.

Hi - the wwwroot value is cached in the config table in the database - you probably need to change it in there too for it to work.

Hi,

Many thanks for your prompt reply. How do I implement the solution that you have suggested? Do I flush the database and re-create / re-install?

Many thanks in advance.

Regards

Problem resolved.

I had not changed the config.php, just the value of wwwroot in the database!

It seems to be working fine now.

Thanks for your help
