Hi,

We've gotten a few reports of people's Mahara sending out emails with weird breaks and equals signs in them, from time to time. Apparently it's been going on since Mahara 1.3, but we haven't been able to fix it because we've never been able to replicate it here.

Here is a workaround that another user reported. Basically, changing their mail setup to use SMTP to localhost, instead of sendmail: https://bugs.launchpad.net/mahara/+bug/691366/comments/26

With this configuration, the e-mails are sent correctly.

Had the same problem.

Filling those two fields resolves the issue.
