I'm trying to install Mahara 1.6.3 via a web browser, but get the following error message:

Missing option adminpassword Usage: cli.php --adminpassword=Password1! [email protected] [--help] [--verbose] Install Mahara and create required data directories --adminpassword=Password1! The password for the admin user -p=Password1! [email protected] The email address for the admin user [email protected] --help Display this help and usage information -h --verbose Increase verbosity of the CLI script to show -v more information

Can anyone help?

Hi Marinda,

That error message sounds like you're trying to access the command line installer, http://example.com/admin/cli/install.php , via your web browser. That installer is for people who want to run the installation from a text-interface terminal window. Smile

To run the Mahara web installer, you should just go to the "index.php" file at the root level of your Mahara installation, i.e. "http://example.com/index.php"

Cheers,

Aaron
