Hi,

I'm sure I've seen this asked (and answered) before, but for the life of me can't find it.

I am setting up a secondary instance of Moodle (which I am Admin for both) and linking it to our existing Mahara as a separate institution (with a separate XML-RPC connection). Again, I am the Admin for the Mahara site too.

I have setup Mahoodle correctly and have added me in to being an Admin for the new institution (as well as obviously being the Site Admin).

My email address is the same on new Moodle as existing Moodle and Mahara, which is where I think that this messes up and my username is the same on both Moodles.

Do I remember seeing before that there is something you can do/add to allow duplicate email addresses?

Is there a reason that I can't just be seen as the same person that already exists if my username and email are the same or should that work and I've just messed something up?

Thanks

Hi Wullie,

Are you thinking of the "usersuniquebyusername" config option?

Hope this helps,
Melissa.
