Hello everyone

I'm trying to network Moodle 2.3.2 and Mahara 1.6.1. Installation with everything has gone fine until I try to set up the networking. My hosting company won't enable XML-RPC, and as a result I can't configure any networking options. I've made some progress around this on Moodle, but come to a dead stop with Mahara.

I'm trying to manage a work-around using the Web Service Configuration (https://wiki.mahara.org/index.php/Plugins/Auth/WebServices)  to switch on SOAP and OAuth, but can't get anything to run until I can get beyond the challenge in Configure Site > Networking

Is there a way to turn off this checking please? Or even a way to spoof the thing to think XML-RPC is running?

Thanks in advance

Hi -

I'm not sure that web services will help you if you are trying to network moodle/mahara together in the sense of how it works over MNet -  It will stil require xml-rpc at some stage as moodle does not have the equivalent of SOAP exposure of the mnet API.

Cheers,

Piers Harding.
