Helo

during translation of the manual I found that pages can be used only in one collection. I'm wondering about this because my expecttion is that user collects artefacts, create pages based on artafacts and bundle them in different collections for different purposes.

My expectation is that they also can use a page in several collections. May be I've understand something not  fully correct and you can help me.

Are the conceptional, pedagogical or technical reasons for this?

Hello Ralf,

The feature was implemented with funding from Birmingham City University and that was all they needed at the time (and what the funding allowed for). We discussed Multipage Views (not even pages then) some time ago and the summary and ideas can be found at https://wiki.mahara.org/index.php/Developer_Area/Specifications_in_Development/Multipage_Views

An expansion of the collections into something more flexible would be fantastic of course.

Cheers

Kristina

As a workaround, you could copy your pages to use in separate collections.

I'd like to be able to use a page in more than just one collection for sure.. I don't see any pedagogical reasoning behind it?
