In manual I found this information:

**Disable email**: Check this box to disable the sending of emails for this user. If email is disabled, notifications and messages can only be viewed in the internal inbox. Depending on your setup, if emails are bounced back to the sender, then email may be automatically disabled.

Where can I find the settings that bounce mails disable mail for a special user?

Hello Ralf,

Currently, there is no setting for bouncing emails up to Mahara 1.5. An admin could have implemented bounced emails on the server level.

From Mahara 1.6 on, there will be a configuration possibility: https://bugs.launchpad.net/mahara/+bug/993018

If this is a new feature for 1.6  the last sentence in the chapter above will be incorrect for 1.5.

Hello Ralf,

Not quite because the bounce mails could have been implemented indepently from Mahara as far as I understood a developer. It's been in the help since at least 1.4. It's only a Mahara built-in feature from 1.6 on.
