Hello,

Still having trouble loading mahara. Someone gave me these steps to follow.

"basiclly do this on the command line:

ps -aux | grep http
(this will tell you who your apache user is, usually one of the following: httpd, apache, or daemon.)"

Where's the command line? Where do I type this information?

Ricardo

Hi Ricardo,

your friend tells you to open a terminal in a linux evironment ;-) This is what he means with the command line.

I think that is strange to you? In order to give some assistance please describe what you have done so long to install Mahara!

Here is the link to the wiki installation guide:http://wiki.mahara.org/index.php?title=System_Administrator%27s_Guide/Installing_Mahara&highlight=installation

Iñaki Arenaza may give you further help in espanol. Please look for the espanol group here at mahara.org.

Feel free to ask any problems ;-)

Cheers from the black forest
Heinz

Heinz,

Thanks for your response. It has made it a bit clearer. My problems have progressed. I now have an htaccess file problem. Where do I edit it? It doesn't seem possible in dreamweaver.

Hi Ricardo,

it's very difficult to give you tips because I don't know exactly about your problems/settings.

cheers Heinz
