I'm currently on mahar 1.3.3 .I'm trying to apply a a png to my site as something like a border decoration..and a background.tried to enter images to the style.css but it doesn't come on the site.Can someone please tell me how to add a background and a border? via css or anyother way.please!

Did you already have a look at the themes section on the wiki http://wiki.mahara.org/index.php?title=Customising/Themes ? There is not much information for Mahara 1.3 themes, but you may find some useful information under Theming Mahara 1.2.

What also helps is using Firefox with the Firebug plugin (add-on). There you can easily see style information and where it is defined in the css file.
