If you've been listening to our podcast 'Create. Share. Engage.' for a while, you would have heard Prof Dr Cathy Elliott, SFHEA, from University College London talk about how she uses portfolios in her 'Politics of nature' class. Her use has inspired at least one of her colleagues, Assoc Prof Dr Fergus Green who implemented portfolios as well.

Last year, Cathy wrote the article Against anonymity: Relational marking and awarding gaps. In it, she outlines her approach to relational marking, a form of ungrading, and why it supports her students better, reaping bigger benefits than conventional methods of assessment. You guessed it, portfolios play a big role in that. That's why she's back for a third interview to draw the clear connection and talk about her experiences.
