Hello,

If you are in the Northern hemisphere, you are probably upgrading your Mahara to 26.04 right now using the summer holidays to do so. I know that we in the southern hemisphere have started upgrading client sites and are preparing for some more over our summer in a few months (can't wait for the warmer weather!). The feedback that we have received from community members who've already played with 26.04 has been very positive. If you have feedback to share, please do so.

Your subscription fees fund the work of the Mahara HQ team at Catalyst IT. Come and meet us, online or in person, at the events below.

Subscription fee update for existing subscribers, effective 1 November 2026

Your notice and contract managers will receive an email about the fee adjustments for existing subscribers, effective 1 November 2026 either from us or your Mahara Business Partner if you entered into the subscriber through one of them. As last year, we're increasing the US Dollar rate by 2%. If your first renewal fell on or after 1 November 2025, you'll already have seen this increase applied.

  • First renewal: No change in the US Dollar-based subscription fee schedule.
  • Second and subsequent renewal: The US Dollar-based subscription fee increases by 2%.

The fee adjustment is based on your current fee in US Dollars. If you pay in another currency, we'll convert it when we send your renewal information.

Subscription fee for new subscribers, effective 1 September 2026

Organisations signing up to a new subscription on or after 1 September 2026 will have new published fees. The subscription form updates on 1 September 2026. If a subscription form is submitted before that date with a start date before 1 October 2026, we'll honour the current fee schedule, as quoted fees are valid for one month.
