Hello everyone

We are trying to intergrate SSO authentication between moodle 1.9.5+ and mahara 1.1.6

I am following the instructions on the "Mahoodle" pdf file.

My issue is this : When I try to configure my institution and I am in the "Add an autuhority" screen I get the following error message when I type in the "Authority name " field any text

"An unknown error occurred while processing this form"

Both moodle and mahara are installed on a Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy server and the database is MySQL 5 on a seperate  Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy server

Since I am new on mahara I could surely use your help on this.

Thank you

Nikos

Hi - there is a bug (that has been fixed in the next version of Mahara) that meant the error wasn't reported there, but normally it's that the hostname you chose for the remote Moodle site can't be resolved by the server that the Mahara is on.

Are you able to check if the server the Mahara is on can resolve the Moodle hostname?

Hello Nigel.

Both Mahara and Moodle are set up on the same webserver and they use the same database server.

As seperate sites everything is fine.

Do you think that IP resolving is the issue here?

Thanks again!!

Yes I do. From the command line, you might want to check if you can resolve both the Moodle and the Mahara hostnames that you're using - e.g., using ping.
